OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GBLA) generally prohibits any financial institution from sharing nonpublic personal information about you with any third party, unless the institution provides you with notice of its privacy policies. Beacon-National Insurance Associates agrees with this law and believes your personal information should be respected and protected. This privacy policy describes our policies and applies to our relationship with you regarding our products and services.
The GLBA also requires we inform you that you have the right to prevent us from sharing your information with a third party for any purpose which is not authorized by law. Your right to prevent us from sharing this information is called the "Opt Out" clause.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT- We may obtain information about you for underwriting purposes and from a variety of sources. Much of the information we obtain, like your name, address, social security number, etc., comes from you during the application process. We also collect information from third parties such as governmental entities, medical sources, and consumer reporting agencies. This information might include such things as credit history, motor vehicle reports, inspections of your property and information concerning previous policies and claims history.
INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE TO THIRD PARTIES- We occasionally share your personal information with third parties, as necessary, to provide you with products and services and as permitted by law. We might disclose information necessary to underwrite or serve your insurance policies or to investigate and pay claims. We disclose information to insurance companies, adjusting and auditing companies, lending and investment institutions, and to process your requests. We may disclose limited information about you to companies who perform marketing services on our behalf.
INFORMATION SECURITY- We restrict access to your information to employees who need to know the information in order to provide you with products and services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION- Any concern relating to our privacy policy or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and judgement upon the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in to any court having jurisdiction thereof.
RESERVATION TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION IN UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES- In connection with the potential sale or transfer of its interest, Beacon-National Insurance Associates reserves the right to sell or transfer your information to a third party entity that concentrates its business in a similar practice or service; agrees to be Beacon-National Insurance Associates' successor in interest with regard to the protection of the information collected, and agrees to obligations of this privacy statement.
